As Florida keeps a watchful eye on Hurricane Lee which is currently churning its way across the Atlantic, Disney Cruise Line have adjusted the itinerary of the Disney Fantasy which is due to set sail from Port Canaveral on September 9.

The Disney Fantasy was scheduled to sail to Bermuda, but as the extremely dangerous Hurricane Lee is expected to be in the vicinity in the coming week, Disney Cruise Line have made the decision to change the itinerary of the ship to avoid the hurricane's projected path.

The cruise will now not visit Bermuda and will replace stops there with Cozumel, Mexico, and George Town, Grand Cayman along with a second say at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

Passengers already booked on the September 9, 2023 sailing have received an email from Disney Cruise Line informing them of the change,

The email informs customers, “Based on the storm’s current forecast track, Bermuda and the seas around Bermuda will be impacted over the next week and a half making it unsuitable for cruise travel.”

Here is the new schedule for the Disney Fantasy, September 9, 2023 sailing:

Saturday, September 9 – Port Canaveral, Florida

Sunday, September 10 – Day at Sea

Monday, September 11– Cozumel, Mexico (previously Day at Sea)

Tuesday, September 12 – George Town, Grand Cayman (previously Bermuda)

Wednesday, September 13 – Day at Sea (previously Bermuda)

Thursday, September 14 – Disney’s Castaway Cay (previously Day at Sea.)

Friday, September 15 – Disney Castaway Cay

Saturday, September 16 – Nassau, The Bahamas

Sunday, September 17– Port Canaveral Florida.

Due to the inconvenience to passengers, Disney Cruise Line is offering a $200 credit per stateroom to use during this sailing. The funds will automatically appear in the stateroom account. The credit can be used toward shipboard services, merchandise, food, beverages, and Port Adventures.

In addition, each reservation will also receive a 20% discount on future cruise reservations.
