Deep Dive into SharkCon, returning for its 11th year to the Florida State Fairgrounds this weekend

SharkCon has something for everyone who loves the ocean, and of course, sharks. The event, sponsored by National Geographic, features guest speakers, celebrities, mermaids, robotic sharks, touch tanks, presentations, and more!

Presented by National Geographic, SharkCon returns to the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, 2025
SharkCon comes back bigger and better in 2025 with the stars of the shark world, celebrities, photographers and more, including speakers, vendors, activities and more for all ages.
SharkCon is an event suitable for the casual consumer of shark lore, to the most intense aficionado of shark science. If it’s about sharks, it’s at SharkCon!
SharkCon is a full-fledged “Con” in every way. There is numerous FREE engaging activities for you and the kids to sink your teeth into, but that’s just where the fun-frenzy begins. There are speakers from Shark Week, National Geographic, and Animal Planet.
There are over one hundred vendors of shark and ocean related merchandise, including, but not limited to jewelry, art, clothing, & collectibles.
Learn how you can enjoy the ocean even more with indoors scuba diving with professionals as well as other water sports.

This year features speakers from this year’s National Geographic’s SHARKFEST as well as scientist and personalities from Aquariums, Field Research, Shark Week, & Animal Planet.
There are over 150 vendors of shark & ocean related merchandise & a dozen non-profits to engage guests & show them how they can get involved in saving the oceans.

SharkCon 11 welcomes RICHARD DREYFUSS to this year's event to celebrate Jaws 50th. You can meet him as he signs autographs all weekend!
Thomas Dunlop, Timmy from Jaws 2, is also appearing at this year’s event. Thomas will be participating in a Jaws 50 panel on Saturday and signing autographs and taking pictures all weekend.
John Putch (Sean Brody from Jaws 3D), Director of Hallmark Christmas movies like Holiday Touchdown, and son of the amazing Jean Stapleton will be at SharkCon with a special presentation on the making of Jaws 3D with set photos and behind the scenes never seen before.

Guests also have the opportunity to have some physical fun by trying indoor scuba diving with trained professionals sponsored by Trilogy Dive Center.
