Crooked Can Brewing Company, the award-winning craft brewery based in Winter Garden, officially broke ground yesterday on its expansive new 40,000-square-foot brewery and headquarters in Minneola. The groundbreaking ceremony featured Crooked Can's owners, project partners, and local government officials, who gathered to celebrate this significant investment in the Minneola community. The new facility represents a major expansion for the brewery, which has seen tremendous growth since its founding in 2014.

“This new taproom is designed to deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests," said Andy Sheeter, founder of Crooked Can Brewing Company. "We've put a lot of thought into the space to ensure that it impresses visitors from the moment they step inside. It's set to become a unique destination in Central Florida, and we're thrilled to bring this exciting new venue to the community of Minneola.”

The new brewery complex will feature a spacious beer hall, an outdoor beer garden, a performance stage for live entertainment, and a diverse food hall. The expansion will create new jobs, boost tourism, and establish a vibrant social hub in the growing Minneola area.

"Our Winter Garden location has been wonderful, but we reached capacity there some time ago," Sheeter added. "This new facility gives us the additional space we need to meet growing demand while creating an even more impressive experience for our customers."

Alan Delahunt, Managing Partner of Crooked Can Brewing Company, spoke about what the project means for the local area: " Our goal is to make this not just a local favorite, but an attraction for Minneola, something people talk about, travel to, and keep coming back for. We’re investing in something that will grow with this community and continue to evolve, innovate, and inspire."

“What we’re building here in Minneola is more than just a new brewery—it’s a long-term vision for the future of Crooked Can. This isn’t just a project; it’s a promise. A promise to be a lasting part of the fabric of Lake County and Minneola,” Delahunt added.

Local officials praised the project for its significant impact on the region. Minneola Mayor Pat Kelley expressed his enthusiasm about the development: “We have this idea that Minneola should be a destination, and we are on to something. This project is another step towards making that vision come to life.”

Project partners include Skorman Development, Balfour Beatty, Howes & Company, Walker Design, Seacoast Bank, and MW Control Solutions. Construction is expected to be completed by April 2026, with a grand opening celebration to follow.
