Construction Underway In Melbourne Of New $100 Million Compass Landing By Margaritaville Resort

Work on the future home of Melbourne's 4.6-acre Compass Landing by Margaritaville Resort on the Indian River Lagoon is underway.

The resort will feature a seven-story, 146-room hotel; a two-story restaurant with 400 seats; a marina with 221 boat slips, a 14,000-square-foot event lawn incorporating a stage, a four-level parking garage, and a public boardwalk.

The Compass Landing by Margaritaville Resorts feature deluxe hotel accommodations and nearby excursions.

The new location will bring in new elements to further elevate the resort experience, including a rooftop bar called The Salty Rim.

The site will also highlight casual and fine dining options with a two-level restaurant experience with views of the water.

Ground clearing has been underway on the long vacant site on U.S. 1 since mid October, transforming the former restaurant and marina is a massive project that will see the derelict space transformed into a tropical paradise, with an estimated 2024 opening.

The once popular restaurant that sat on the site is long gone, having been demolished in 2011, and the defunct marina on the beautiful Indian River Lagoon shoreline, will be resurrected, and enlarged.

The new $100 million resort will be a unique addition to the collection of Margaritaville resorts, and will include individual features that will tie into the local beach, Melbourne, and the Space Coast.

The rooms will including rainfall showers, smart TVs, and customized interior finishes.

The large outdoor event lawn and stage will be home to Margaritaville events, holiday events, craft beer festivals, food & wine festivals, art festivals, car shows and more.
