The Cirque du Soleil and Disney production, Drawn To Life at Disney Springs has been updated with a brand new finale to celebrate the second anniversary of the show.
Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil and Disney at Disney Springs is celebrating it's 2nd anniversary with a brand new show stopping finale that is set to wow guests to the popular show.
Drawn to Life features the story of a young girl named Julie, who goes on a journey of discovery when she discovers a piece of animation left behind by her late father. The new ending which features the shows swing-to-swing artists, shows the love between Julie and her father, and includes the performers in new costumes inspired by the art of drawing and animation, created by noted costume designer Philippe Guillotel.
The finale includes all new awe-inspiring stunts, acrobatics, and choreography, with the shows artistic director Justin Sullivan commenting, “The new finale Swing to Swing act celebrates the completion of the triumphant journey of Julie as she finishes the lines started in an animation left to her by her father to forever link them to one another,” he went on to say, “The daring acrobats in the number are kaleidoscopic animated renditions of Julie and her father soaring, flying, and swinging through the air in a touching and thrilling display of amplitude, connection and skill.”
Drawn to Life offers several performances throughout the week. You can catch the show Wednesday through Saturday at 5:30 pm and 8 pm, plus 1:30 pm and 4 pm on Sundays, with tickets available through December 2024.
The family-friendly Drawn To Life tells the story of the love between a father and a daughter, drawing inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 100-year heritage of storytelling, celebrating iconic Disney stories and characters through innovative design, acrobatic performances, dazzling choreography, musical scores and brand-new animation lovingly created by Disney Animation artists.
The show is a first-of-its-kind creative collaboration between iconic memory-makers Cirque du Soleil and Disney, telling the story of a determined girl who discovers one last gift left by her animator father: a sequence of unfinished drawings. Guided by a magical pencil and a quirky troupe of imaginative muses, she embarks on an inspiring quest filled with her childhood Disney memories.
