Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster celebrates 33 years of dining with Annual Give Back Celebration

For more than three decades, Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster has set the standard for classic steakhouse dining in Central Florida. This year, the Christner family is once again turning its anniversary into an opportunity to give back. On June 12, the family-owned restaurant will commemorate 33 years in Orlando with its annual celebration dinner benefiting two local non-profit organizations.

What began as a tradition rooted in gratitude has grown into a meaningful community event, bringing guests together for an evening of exceptional dining with a greater purpose. In honor of its 33rd anniversary, Christner’s will donate 100% of dining proceeds (excluding alcohol) from the evening to two impactful organizations, continuing a legacy of generosity that extends well beyond the dining room.

“Our anniversary is a reflection of the relationships we’ve built over the past 33 years,” said Owner Alice Christner. “Giving back through this dinner is our way of saying thank you and brings our community together to support organizations that make a meaningful difference every day.”

“The Christner family embodies what it truly means to be community partners,” said Babette Hankey, President and CEO of Aspire Health Partners. “Their longstanding generosity, leadership and commitment to giving back have made a meaningful difference for Aspire and the people we serve. We are especially grateful for David Christner’s dedicated service on Aspire’s Board of Directors and for the entire family’s continued support of our mission to strengthen lives and communities across Central Florida.”

“Every day, we meet patients at one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Our responsibility is to meet that moment with both expertise and compassion. Expanding our services means more people can receive the advanced, personalized treatments they need, while keeping them close to their families and support systems,” said Dr. Mark A. Socinski, executive medical director of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute.

From the early days in the 1990s along a quiet Lee Road, a family-owned steakhouse legacy was emerging in Orlando. The modest, single building was previously known by a variety of names including Bakerstreet Grill, Tony Marino’s, and Morgan’s Lobster House. Fast forward to 2000, the Christner family expanded the restaurant with a second neighboring building, formerly Straub’s and Nick’s Boat Yard, with the signature central lobby and porte-cochère.

The heart and soul of Christner’s began with Carole Christner and her late husband, Russ. Many of the founding principles and traditions still stand today. Although the official name of Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster name debuted 10 years ago in 2013, the iconic restaurant has been owned and operated by the Christner family since 1993.

From USDA Prime Steaks, cold-water lobster tails, and a classic steakhouse menu features to the rich leather seating and low lighting, every day is a special occasion at Christner’s.
