The popular Chicago fast-casual restaurant chain that focuses on subs and milkshakes has announced the location of it's first Orlando area restaurant.
Back in November last year, Potbelly Sandwich Shop announced that it has signed a multi-unit development deal to bring six new locations to Orlando over the next several years, and now we know the location of the first unit!
The first Orlando shop will be opening at 2714 E. Colonial Drive in the Colonial Landing Shopping Plaza, although no opening date for the restaurant has been revealed.
When the restaurant opens it will be the fourth Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Florida, with three already open in the Tampa area.
The new Orlando restaurants will be franchises run by Shari Nasir and Imran Malik of Sugarland Investment Group, LLC.
“We are longtime fans and supporters of Potbelly, and we look forward to playing an active role in its growth and expansion,” Nasir said in a statement. “We are truly passionate about the brand, its high quality and delicious food and are extremely excited to bring Potbelly into our backyard!”
Potbelly was established in 1977 in Chicago as a neighborhood sandwich concept serving toasted sandwiches, salads, hand-dipped shakes, and other menu items. Since then, the company has expanded to 400 company-owned shops and over 40 franchise-managed shops in the United States.
