Maitland Farmers Market is going to the dogs this July, with vendors, crafts, activities, and more.
Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer from 9 am - 1 pm on Sunday, July 20, at Maitland’s Farmers Market, Independence Square, 1776 Independence Lane in front of City Hall.
Bring your favorite furry family members for a day of fun with displays, vendors, crafts, live music and activities. See demonstrations from Frisbee-catching and agility course dogs as well as the Maitland Police Department K-9 unit.
Learn about adoptions and watch canine demonstrations. Prizes will be presented for the best dressed canines.
This is a dog-friendly event with watering stations and shady rest areas.
Browse the Maitland Farmer’s Market for a unique selection of vendors with food, crafts, local products, plants, flowers and produce.
Enjoy downtown Maitland’s great food stops including Brewlando Brewing, Houndstooth Kitchen & Eatery, Boku Sushi, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream and Lazy Moon Pizza.
Vehicle parking is available north of the event site on Horatio Avenue and south on Packwood Avenue.
PLUS, Maitland's upcoming Dog Days of Summer event just got a lot sweeter, thanks to a calendar coincidence with one of downtown's most popular businesses - Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream. July 20 is National Ice Cream Day. Kelly's is celebrating with 50% off their delicious screams between 11 am and 4 pm at all locations including their scoop shop on Independence Lane inside Maitland City Center.
That's pretty cool. Plus, in case you did not know, Kelly's menu also includes Dog Pops, which is a frozen mix of pumpkin, peanut butter and rice milk on a milk bone.
