Are you ready for one of the most exciting 4th of July events in Tampa? Celebrate Independence Day at the Museum of Science & Innovation with Stars, Stripes, & Science!

On the 4th of July as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the nation, enjoy live music, planetarium shows, food & drinks, science demos, and more!

Guests can discover crowd favorites like the rainbow fire demo, liquid nitrogen ice cream, baseball-themed activities, games, and even a dunk tank! In the Saunders Planetarium, families can experience special presentations on the dome screen, including a sensory-friendly fireworks experience at 4:30 pm, guided star tours, and additional fireworks shows that are not designated sensory friendly.

Best of all, your participation helps support MOSI’s mission to inspire curiosity and a love of science.

Explore a world of possibilities at Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) with more than 100 hands-on activities. Guests can lie on a bed of nails, explore optical illusions, challenge themselves with hands-on brain puzzles, explore another world in the NASA-funded Mission: Moonbase lunar colony, observe butterflies, play around of miniature golf on the SciLink golf course, and gaze into the starry night sky in MOSI’s Saunders Planetarium or get a rush from the VR Simulator. 

 MOSI’s innovative exhibits urge you to ask questions and expand your mind. MOSI shows you how cool curiosity can be and will spark conversations about the world. MOSI is located in North Tampa across from the University of South Florida, about two blocks North of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and open 10 am to 5 pm daily with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
