Following successful runs of Something Rotten! and Rock of Ages. Dreamgirls is set to take to the stage at The Garden Theater in Winter Garden.
Victory Productions and Garden Theatre have announced that the Broadway sensation, Dreamgirls is coming to Orlando this July with Brianna Javis reprising her role as Effie White following her run on the Dreamgirls International Tour in the lead role.
Meet the Dreams: Effie, Lorrell, and Deena, three young and talented African-American singers in the revolutionary 1960s. Dreamgirls will take you on a journey as the three friends embark on a musical roller coaster through the ruthless world of show business. Their relationships will be put to the test by fame, fortune, and romance as the young women discover that their dreams come at a cost.
Dreamgirls will run July 7 every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until August 6.
Previews are also available June 29 - July 6.

Brianna Javis will reprise her role as Effie White following her run on the Dreamgirls International Tour in the title role. Jazzmin Carson takes on the role of Deena, and Stephanie Dorcely will be playing the role of Lorell.
The show will also star Maurice Alpharicio, DeMille Cole-Heard, Ishmon Brown, James Berkley, Arei Moon, Laiya Parker, Olamide Asanpaola, Shatonya Bryant, Tirrell Fuller, A.R. Williams, Brett Hennessy Jones, and Broderick O'Neal.
Victory Productions has enlisted De'Lon Grant will be directing the upcoming production of Dreamgirls following a successful run of Something Roten! at Garden Theater.
