Brewlando goes big for Oktoberfest with 8 German Beers and Festival Celebration

Rundreise brings traditional German beer styles, food, live music and Oktoberfest fun to Brewlando’s Hoffner and Sanford locations Sept. 18-Oct. 4

Why celebrate Oktoberfest with one beer when you can brew eight?

Most breweries mark the season with a single Oktoberfest release. This year, Brewlando’s brewers decided to go bigger, creating eight traditional German beer styles for Rundreise, a three-week Oktoberfest celebration taking over the brewery’s Hoffner Avenue and Sanford locations Sept. 18 through Oct. 4.

The celebration kicks off Friday, Sept. 18, at Brewlando’s flagship Hoffner Avenue brewery with a full Oktoberfest party featuring a live German polka band, German food, a stein-holding contest and a best-dressed competition for guests sporting their best lederhosen and dirndls.

Throughout the three weeks, all eight Rundreise beers will be available at both Hoffner and Sanford, with guests able to try the entire lineup in a custom eight-pour flight. Brewlando will also serve a German Platter for Two featuring two brats, a giant pretzel and the Rundreise flight.

While craft brewers are often focused on creating the next new or experimental beer, Rundreise gave Brewlando’s brewing team the opportunity to turn its attention to the classics. The team brewed more than 1,300 gallons across eight traditional styles, each representing a city known for the beer.

The Rundreise lineup includes:

• Munich — Helles

• Cologne — Kölsch

• Düsseldorf — Altbier

• Leipzig — Gose

• Bamberg — Rauchbier

• Vienna — Vienna Lager

• Freising — Hefeweizen

• Munich — Märzen

“Can’t go to Germany? We’re bringing Germany to you,” said Shara Pathak, founder and owner of Brewlando. “Our brewers spend so much time creating new beers and experimenting with different styles, so Oktoberfest gave them a chance to really have fun with the classics. We brewed eight very different traditional beers, and we’re excited for people to come try them all.”

“Rundreise” translates to “round trip” in German, a nod to the seven cities represented throughout the eight-beer lineup.

The Oktoberfest celebration and Rundreise beers will be available exclusively at Brewlando’s Hoffner Avenue and Sanford locations from Sept. 18 through Oct. 4.
