Blue Spring State Park in Orange City celebrates Firefly Nights from March 13 to April 12

Prepare to be enchanted as the trees along the boardwalk glow with the soft, shimmering light of fireflies.
One of Florida’s most breathtaking natural spectacles, Firefly Nights comes to Blue Spring State Park, just North of Orlando in Orange City, from March 13 through April 12.
During Firefly Nights the forest at Blue Spring State Park transforms each evening as hundreds of fireflies rise from the forest floor and dance beneath the canopy.
It’s one of Florida’s most breathtaking natural spectacles, with the trees along the boardwalk glowing with the soft, shimmery lights of fireflies.
After Hours Passes for Firefly Nights are just $14 per vehicle, for up to 8 passengers, in addition to park admission.
Blue Spring State Park, famous for its 72-degree waters and resident manatees during the winter months, is a natural gem along the St. John’s River.
Visitors can see all the wonders of the park along the 4.5-mile Pine Island Trail or Spring Steam. In addition to manatee viewing, other activities include birding, fishing, boat tours, picnicking, camping and paddling.

This is a seasonal event that only happens once a year and car passes sell fast! Purchase your pass ahead of time to guarantee your entry on the night you'd like to attend.

Plan to arrive at the park by 6 pm and no later than 6:30 pm . It is recommended to arrive early for this event due to its popularity. All guests must leave the park by 9 pm.
Firefly Chats are at 6:45 and 7:15 pm. Gather 'round to listen and learn about the Florida Single Snappy fireflies that are observed during this special event.
