Backpacks, Bracelets and Biggie Shakes - JoJo’s ShakeBAR makes Back-to-School Season a little sweeter

Friendship bracelet making, teacher discounts and half-price shakes give families and friends more reasons to celebrate.

The first day of school comes with plenty of traditions: a new outfit, a photo by the front door and at least one backpack that looks much heavier than it should. This year, JoJo’s ShakeBAR in Orlando is adding Biggie Shakes, friendship bracelets and a few well-earned discounts to the mix.

Throughout August and September, the retro-inspired diner and dessert destination, located at The Pointe on International Drive is serving up limited-time experiences and promotions for families, teachers, students, friend groups and anyone looking to make the shift from summer to school feel a little more fun.

Guests can spend the final weeks of summer creating custom friendship bracelets over a meal, celebrate the first day back with a discounted Biggie Shake or turn an ordinary September dinner into an excuse for an over-the-top dessert at half price.

What’s Happening at JoJo’s ShakeBAR:

• Friendship Bracelet Making Experience: Through Aug. 30. Summer’s most colorful tradition is sticking around a little longer. Guests can design custom friendship bracelets while enjoying a meal at JoJo’s, with a choice of entrée and all bracelet-making supplies included. The hands-on experience is made for families, birthday celebrations, friend groups, girls’ days out and anyone who still knows that the right bead combination can say more than a group text ever could.

• Teacher Tuesdays: Every Tuesday in August. Teachers, school staff and educators receive 20% off their meals when they show a valid school ID. Whether they are squeezing in lunch with coworkers, meeting friends after the final bell or unwinding over dinner with family, the promotion offers a small thank you during one of the busiest times of the year.

• First Day, First Treat: Through August. The first day back deserves a sweeter ending. Students, families, teachers and friends can receive 10% off any milkshake when they visit on their school’s first day. It is an easy excuse to trade the post-school recap at the kitchen counter for whipped cream, candy toppings and a shake built to make the occasion feel official.

• Half-Price Biggie Shakes: Throughout September. Guests receive 50% off any milkshake with the purchase of an entrée. The monthlong promotion is designed for family dinners, casual date nights, after-school outings and friend-group catchups that could use an over-the-top finish. Known for towering presentations and unapologetically playful toppings, JoJo’s Biggie Shakes turn dessert into a full-table event. They arrive piled high with treats, made for sharing, photographing or claiming entirely for yourself after a particularly long day.

Guests can pair the limited-time offers with JoJo’s popular Smash Burgers, sandwiches, comfort-food favorites, creative cocktails, Dirty Sodas and the restaurant’s lineup of larger-than-life sweets.

The next seasonal menu arrives Oct. 1, when JoJo’s will introduce its fall-inspired food and beverage specials. Until then, the August and September lineup gives guests plenty of reasons to gather, whether they are celebrating a new school year, treating a favorite teacher, planning a birthday outing or simply deciding that dinner could use more sprinkles.

Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends, holidays and during special experiences. Guests can reserve a table through OpenTable. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but booking ahead is the best way to guarantee a spot.
