Aterciopelados to wrap up their Genes Rebeldes Tour at House of Blues Orlando on December 20

The Colombian alternative rock band Aterciopelados are coming to Orlando and tickets for the show are on sale now.

Aterciopelados has announced that they are coming to North America with their Genes Rebeldes Tour, whoch is in support of their latest album, Genes Rebeldes.


The highly anticipated tour will kick off at The Belasco in Los Angeles, CA, on Dec. 4, and wrap up at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL, on Dec. 20.


The iconic rock band aoounced the tour on social media, “Attention United States and Canada! Los Genes Rebeldes de Aterciopelados are coming with a tour you won’t want to miss.” The excited duo continued. “From coast to coast, we’ll get together to sing hits, classics, and celebrate the music that unites us. December will be a month of rebellion, colors, and unforgettable songs.”

Colombian rock band, Aterciopelados is led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago. Their music fuses rock with a variety of Colombian and Latin American musical traditions.


Until now,Aterciopelados have recorded eight albums. The group has won four Latin Grammy Awards from eight nominations, including Best Alternative Album in 2007 for Oye, as well as four Grammy Award nominations.


Their song "Bolero Falaz" topped Canal Viva Colombia's list of the 1,000 most important songs of Colombian rock, and several more of their songs also made the list, including "Maligno", "El Estuche", "Mujer Gala" and "Sortilegio".


Aterciopelados are internationally recognized for their socially conscious message, and regularly discuss issues including political injustice, women's rights, and environmental destruction. They were honored by the United Nations for their work denouncing violence in Colombia.


In late 2024, they released "AGRADECIDA," a fusion of waltz and alternative rock featuring Gustavo Santaolalla. This release preceded their tenth studio album, "GENES REBELDES," launched in April 2025. This album, with thirteen songs, explores themes of identity, resistance, and hope, combining cultural roots, personal reflections, and futuristic visions.
