Explore the history and enduring legacy of colonialism in the Caribbean through The House That Freedoms Built, an outdoor installation by artist La Vaughn Belle on the Rollins College campus. Featuring three white, pitched-roof structures inspired by 18th-century homes built by formerly enslaved people of St. Croix, the work invites reflection on how ideas of home, belonging, and freedom are constructed. As the first in a series of installations leading to the opening of the Rollins Museum of Art’s new facility, it engages viewers in a thoughtful dialogue about identity, community, and the spaces we inhabit.

In 2026, Harry P. Leu Gardens proudly marks its 65th anniversary with a celebration titled Legacy in Bloom—a vibrant tribute to the enduring beauty, growth, and impact of this beloved public garden. Over the course of the year, visitors will experience a dynamic calendar of events, programs, exhibits, and installations that honor the Gardens’ rich past, thriving present, and bold future.

IS IT SCIENCE... OR IS IT MAGIC?! Get ready for science to boggle your senses with a dazzling new exhibit where visitors of all ages will gain a deeper understanding of the science behind illusions and the mechanisms that govern human perception. Through hands-on experiences and captivating exhibits, guests will discover how scientific principles create various illusions that fool their brains.

Step into a world of enchantment with Fairy Doors, a delightful exhibit featuring twenty one-of-a-kind, magical doors tucked away throughout the gardens. Each fairy door is crafted by a different fairy and invites young dreamers (and the young at heart) into a realm of secret gardens, whispering woods, and sparkling imagination. A special map will guide your journey, complete with charming tales of the fairies who created each door, adding a touch of storybook magic to your adventure. Gather your family and friends and see if you can find them all…but remember, these doors open only for fairies. Included with daytime admission, this enchanting experience promises wonder, laughter, and a sprinkle of fairy dust for visitors of all ages.

Enjoy live Music on the Patio overlooking Lake Rowena every Thursday from 5 - 8 pm. Bring a picnic filled with your favorite foods and a comfy seat and unwind. The Gardens are open late every Thursday so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through Orlando's most beautiful garden.

Wawa Summer Fun Days return this summer to the historic Bok Tower Gardens which are located in Lake Wales, offering free admission to the stunning 250-acre contemplative garden and bird sanctuary on the last Thursday and Friday of the month from May through September.

The Florida Prize in Contemporary Art is organized by the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) to bring new recognition to the most progressive artists in the State. Each year OMA’s curatorial team surveys artists working throughout the State before inviting ten to participate. One artist is selected by an invited juror to receive a $20,000 award. Artists range from emerging to mid-career, often with a distinguished record of exhibitions and awards that reflect recognition at national and international levels. In all cases they are artists who are engaged in exploring significant ideas of art and culture in original and visually exciting ways.

Created in Community: Portraits of Pulse commemorates the 10-year remembrance of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy on June 12, 2016. This powerful exhibition features 49 portraits honoring the lives lost, created through a deeply collaborative community effort. Designed by local artist Jeff Sonksen in a paint-by-number format, the works were completed in 2017 by victims’ families, friends, and members of the Orlando community. Each portrait emerged through a shared process of painting, transforming grief into collective remembrance and healing. As you move through the exhibition at the Terrace Gallery, Orlando City Hall, you are invited to reflect on the lives remembered and the enduring strength of a community united in remembrance.

Make summer break easy, fun, and budget-friendly at Regal Oviedo Mall with the return of Summer Movie Express. From June 1 through August 13, families can enjoy $1 movie tickets to popular family films back on the big screen. Showings take place Monday through Thursday for the first show of the day, making it the perfect daytime activity to keep kids entertained all summer long.

Enjoy your favorite FLIX for $5.00 every Tuesday all summer long at the iconic Garden Theatre on Plant in downtown Winter Garden! Summer Flix at the Garden features kids & matinees (10 am and 2 pm) as well as evening screenings (7 pm) of classic and contemporary hits. Hosted by the City of Winter Garden, the movie series provides a fun, budget-friendly (and air-conditioned) summer activity for the community.

As Orlando gets ready to sizzle, the cities sweetest summer adventure has officially arrived. Florida Dairy Farmers and Visit Orlando are teaming up to launch the first-ever Thrill to Chill: Orlando Ice Cream Trail — a limited-time, self-guided experience that invites locals and visitors to explore Orlando’s vibrant ice cream scene while celebrating the real dairy that makes every scoop possible. Running from May 22 through July 31, the trail turns the search for the perfect frozen treat into a citywide summer experience. From handcrafted gelato and towering milkshakes to nostalgic soft serve and neighborhood scoop shops, participants can discover Orlando one sweet stop at a time. The experience is free and available through a mobile-friendly digital pass.

Theatre for the Very Young continues with Yo, Ho, Ho! Let’s Go!, written by Jennifer Adams-Carrasquillo, a 30-minute adventure with a pirate on the high seas following a treasure map! Parrots, crabs, mermaids, and more join the fun! Theatre for the Very Young at Orlando Family Stage is created specifically for 1 to 5-year-olds and is an interactive, multi-sensory, developmentally accessible experience that encourages caregiver interaction and creative play.

Hop into a world of imagination with Peter Rabbit and his mischievous siblings: Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail! In this playful, hands-on experience, young creators will make their very own puppets, explore Mr. McGregor’s Garden through creative drama, and then settle in to enjoy a joy-filled puppet show starring their favorite floppy-eared friends. The Ren is extending the Summer of Disco through July with exciting themes and special guests. Disco Boots opened originally on April 3, and more than 3,000 guests have experienced the show thus far. Picture it: 4 live dynamic singers and a 6-piece band, 16 incredible dancers, and a rotating cast of drag performers converge in a 360-degree immersive space equipped with gorgeous visuals on a brand-new giant TV wall, complete with not 1 but 2 disco horses…the result? The Orlando City Soccer Celebration, presented by Verizon, is a free, large-scale, festival-style fan experience that will transform Pointe Orlando into the ultimate soccer destination in Central Florida during the world’s biggest sporting event this summer. Running from June 11 through July 19, the Orlando City Soccer Celebration will show live viewings of all 104 FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, along with an immersive fan experience featuring live music and entertainment, global food and beverage offerings, appearances from Orlando City players, club legends and the team mascot and an official pop-up store. A minimum of five larger-scale events will also take place in Pointe Orlando’s outdoor plazas with live entertainment, interactive areas, giveaways and more along with marquee match viewings.

Promenade at Sunset Walk is celebrating the World Soccer Tournament between June 1 - July 19 with property-wide activations, including live watch parties, a soccer goal kicking challenge and food and drink specials. Embracing the tournament’s spirit of global connection, the venue will offer a Goal Getter Giveaway, where fans can enter their favorite team for a chance to win one of 48 custom soccer balls inspired by the participating countries.

Of the many unexpected pleasures awaiting visitors to Central Florida, none may be as dazzling as a stroll through the galleries of The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, home to the world's most comprehensive collection of works by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933).

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and wear your red, white, and blue to enjoy an evening of patriotic festivities in Winter Park. The event is free and open to the public. The event will begin at the main stage with opening remarks from Mayor Sheila DeCiccio, along with the National Anthem. Festivities will continue with music from the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble led by Dr. John Sinclair, featuring a special patriotic tribute to America’s Semiquincentennial. Activities will also feature a Kids Zone in the West Meadow with carnival midway games, bounce slides, face painters, Kona Ice and more, all hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department. Winter Park Electric will sponsor FREE individual mini pies, cookies, and water. Cake will be provided after the Bach Festival leads the crowd in “Happy 250th Birthday America!”

Kick off your America 250 celebratory weekend with a free blues concert at Centennial Plaza in Winter Garden. The popular Big Ron Betts Trio will light up the stage blending blues, rock, pop, soul, and funk. The trio brings soulful sounds to stages worldwide, including recently at our very own Winter Garden Music Festival. Grab a nearby swing, dine at a nearby patio, or bring a chair for a front row seat to enjoy the live music amidst the patriotic decorations adorning historic downtown. This year, we aren’t just celebrating the holiday; we are honoring more than two centuries of the American spirit as our nation marks its landmark 250th anniversary. The free festivities begin at 4 pm! Enjoy live music, a dedicated kids' play zone, and a premier selection of local food and beverage vendors. Then at 9.10 pm, prepare to be dazzled by a monumental fireworks spectacular, perfectly synchronized with a live performance by the Orlando Concert Band.

Join your community in the All American Kids Parade! This down-home tradition was started by and is still hosted by the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge No. 165, in partnership with the City of Winter Garden. Kids (adults too!), wear your red, white, and blue and parade through historic downtown by foot, bike, scooter, wagon, stroller, etc. The parade loops around West Plant Street and lasts about 30 minutes. No sign-ups required, just come out and enjoy the fun waving to family, friends, and neighbors as you stroll by! Or grab a favorite curbside viewing spot and cheer on the parade as it goes by. Of course, don't forget to also wear your red, white, an blue!Spectators are welcome and encouraged to line both sides of West Plant Street. Secure a good viewing spot to cheer on the parade participants. Bring your own chair to watch in comfort. Don't forget to wear your red, white, and blue! Before the Parade, the morning kicks off with a down-home Kids Eat Free Pancake Breakfast (age 12 and under, while supplies last) at the Masonic Lodge! Gather outside the Masonic Lodge for a variety of family-friendly activities. In addition, you can get your red, white, and blue on for the parade with a selection of complimentary patriotic decorations The decorations are kindly provided courtesy of the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation. The day is full of good nostalgic fun for all ages and the whole family!

Join the celebration on the Fourth of July as the patriotic-decorated market will host some good old fashioned fun for the whole family. Join the City of Oviedo at Oviedo Mall on July 4, 2026 for an Independence Day Celebration that’s going all out as we mark 250 years of the United States of America. We’re bringing the energy indoors with a full day of shopping, vendors, live entertainment, and interactive experiences for all ages. Skip the heat, avoid the rain, and step into a celebration that’s packed from start to finish.
The Food Court stage will feature live performances from Oviedo’s School of Rock and the University Performing Arts Center with Ziegfried Follies. Throughout the mall, history comes to life with Minutemen walking the crowds, a Town Crier, Betsy Ross, Benjamin Franklin, and George Washington. Explore a full Military Walk Through Time from the Revolution to Space Force presented by the American Legion, plus a Civil War camp re-enactment, face painters, balloon artists, stilt walkers, and more. At 7 pm, don’t miss a live re-enactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence at the Food Court stage. At 8 pm, head outside to grab your spot for Central Florida’s largest fireworks display, launching at 9 pm.

Come to Historic Downtown Sanford to celebrate Independence Day and enjoy free activities for the family and our spectacular fireworks display over beautiful Lake Monroe. Grab your lawn chairs or a blanket and head to the lakefront on the Riverwalk, along Seminole Boulevard. The kids will really enjoy the Kids Zone, sponsored by Ladies 327, the enormous park playground, and the splash pad in Ft. Mellon Park. Everyone can relax to music hosted by K92.3, visit our food and drink stations, shop the wide variety of vendors and be entertained by live performers along the Riverwalk. We will end the night with a spectacular pyrotechnics show choreographed to patriotic music over Lake Monroe at about 9:15 pm.

Celebrate Independence Day in a monumental way at Kissimmee Lakefront Park! This is our biggest event of the year and it's packed with live entertainment, including a a live performance by Anti Idol as they bring the energy and music to keep the celebration going. Let the kids burn off some energy at the KUA Kids Power Zone, grab some free glow-in-the-dark giveaways, and stop by for face painting fun. Then of course, don't miss the fireworks grand finale at 9 pm.
