June is also the month when the Orlando community comes together to honors and remember the 49 lives lost at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.

Saturday Nite Classic Car Show & Cruise
Every Saturday

Join Old Town in Kissimmee every Saturday and take a trip down memory lane. The Old Town Classic Car Show has been a local tradition for over 30 years, it is one of the premier weekly car shows in Central Florida. The Saturday Classic Car Show begins at 1:00pm and welcomes show-quality 1985 and older hot rods, street rods, and antiques. Cars will cruise at 8:30pm. The event is free for participants and free for the public to attend.


Live Music on the Lawn in Lake Nona
Every Saturday

Live on the Lawn is your Saturday oasis to relax and recharge while listening to live music and playing lawn games with family and friends. Join Lake Nona from 11 am – 3 pm every Saturday!


Show Car Saturday Nights at Promenade at Sunset Walk
Every Saturday

The Promenade at Sunset Walk is home to Show Car Saturday Nights. All makes and models are welcome and displayed along Margaritaville Boulevard. Car enthusiasts will enjoy the music of DJ Scotty B while admiring an amazing collection of classic to modern automobiles, with live bands performing on the Promenade Plaza Stage nightly.

Silver Spurs Rodeo

153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo
May 31 - June 1

Watch bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and women's barrel racing at the 153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo. In between the seven traditional events, you’ll also see acts throughout the night from our rodeo clown, witness a performance from our Junior Silver Spurs Quadrille Team, and see junior bull riders and barrel racers compete in the arena!


Bank of America's Museums on Us Weekend

49 Bells Ceremony
June 12

The tolling of the bells at First United Methodist Church of Orlando,  is part of “Acts of Love and Kindness,” a One Orlando Alliance movement grown out of the spirit of giving and good deeds witnessed in the aftermath of the Pulse tragedy. The movement inspires the Orlando community and beyond to engage in volunteerism, share stories and show support through acts of love and kindness.  For more information, click here.

 

Pulse Remembrance Ceremony
June 12

Community leaders, first responders and the families of the victims and survivors of the Pulse tragedy will come together at Dr. Phillips Center for an annual remembrance ceremony hosted by the City of Orlando.   


The Remembrance Ceremony allows our community to come together every year on the evening of June 12 to honor and remember the 49 angels taken, their families, the survivors, first responders, trauma teams and all those impacted by the tragedy.    


The 2024 family and survivor-focused ceremony will be held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the program beginning at 7 p.m.  Admission is free but a ticket is required to attend the event. 1887 Juneteenth Celebration Week
June 14 - 19

The 1887 Juneteenth Celebration Week will take place on June 14 - 19, 2024 in the Historic Town of Eatonville FL. Our theme this year is “Empowering Resilience, Celebrating Freedom, and Reclaiming our Unity”.


Events will feature a Youth STEAM explosion, senior citizen celebration, vendors, entertainment, Father’s Day specials and so much more. This weekend will provide an opportunity for members of our community to learn about the significance of Juneteenth and celebrate the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history.

The 2024 Zebra Youth Pride Prom
June 14

The 2024 Zebra Youth Pride Prom will be held at The Plaza Live (425 N. Bumby Ave) on Friday, June 14, from 6 - 8 pm for ages 13 - 17, and from 9 - 11 pm for ages 18 - 34.


The theme is Masquerade, and the dress code is semi-formal to formal. All forms of gender expression are welcomed. The event is free with a suggested donation of $15 to Zebra Youth.

The Florida Festival of New Musicals at Winter Park Playhouse is a 4-day event that will showcase six new musical works and bring together writers and composers with patrons, press, producers and directors. A one-hour version of each selected musical will be fully read and sung concert-style, without staging, by varying casts of professional actors and musicians.


Audiences will have the unique and exciting opportunity to see musicals in the early stages of development and provide feedback about the new musical after the reading.

Sunset at the Zoo at the Central Florida Zoo

Join a family-friendly LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration, featuring themed crafts and family activities, local vendors, food trucks and a DJ. Juneteenth Freedom Festival

Liberty Weekend Concert with Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra
June 29

In recognition of the Fourth of July holiday, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority will celebrate in advance with its traditional Liberty Weekend Concert featuring the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. This year’s concert will be held at a new location, Terminal C.


Great American Block Party
June 29

The annual Great American Block Party comes to Lake Nona Town Center with delicious food, sweet treats, fun games and activities, live music and more. Rock Freedom & Fireworks in Longwood

The City of Longwood presents Rock, Freedom & Fireworks, the fourth annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 29th at Reiter Park featuring live music from Switch - Back to the 80's, over 15 food trucks, a full bar, vendors, and the best fireworks show in town! Free admission and parking for the event are located at the back parking lot of Orlando Health South Seminole, Longwood City Hall Complex, and the Longwood Sunrail Station. The fireworks show begins at 9 pm.
