This year's Casselberry Latin Jazz & Art Festival features Cortadito, Nestor Torres & Aymeé Nuviola

Join the City of Casselberry for the FREE Latin Jazz & Art Festival at Lake Concord Park on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 from 4 – 9 pm.

Miami-based ensemble Cortadito will headline the City of Casselberry’s biggest concert of the year.

Since its origins 12 years ago, the evolution of Cortadito has led it to become one of the torchbearers of a pop culture phenomenon that is two centuries strong. A traditional folk and acoustic band that focuses on performing one of the earliest styles of Cuban country music, their sound can best be described as reminiscent of the famed Buena Vista Social Club.

This dynamic group will be joined in Casselberry by two legends in music: Grammy winners Nestor Torres and  Aymeé Nuviola. Torres is a Puerto Rican jazz flautist and has released 19 albums, including a Grammy in 2001. Nuviola, nicknamed "La Sonera del Mundo,” is a Cuban-born singer who has released five albums and has won two Grammys. She is also known for having played Celia Cruz in the Colombian telenovela Celia.

In May, Cortadito released its first full-length feature album titled “The Guajiro Triangle”. The nine original compositions celebrate the traditions of Cuban music in the modern world. The triangle represents the musical connection between Santiago de Cuba, Havana, and Miami, the group's home and final destination of the journey that was established two centuries ago.

Prior to the concert, some of the area’s greatest Latin visual artists will showcase their works.  Everything from paintings and sculptures to mixed media masterpieces will be on display in Casselberry City Hall, Art House, Art Center and Sculpture House from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  This exciting exhibit kicks off the Latin Jazz & Art Festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
