This holiday season, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will glow once again as it hosts the Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, presented by Publix! Step into a world of light and color like you’ve never seen before. Wander the three-quarter-mile pathway filled with all-new, handcrafted lantern scenes, each glowing with thousands of LED lights.

Downtown Kissimmee shines bright this holiday season during the Festival of Lights, a free celebration transforming the heart of the city into a glowing holiday destination. Thousands of twinkling white lights stretch across Broadway, side streets, and Kissimmee Lakefront Park, creating a magical atmosphere for families, couples, and visitors to enjoy nightly.

Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

Don’t miss Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter across three spectacular theme parks, Seuss Landing all spruced up for Grinchmas with a chance to meet the mean, green one himself – the Grinch, and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. Downtown Winter Garden transforms into a magical Holiday Wonderland as the sights and sounds of the season complement its historic small town-charm. On select dates enjoy holiday events, live music, projection light shows, street performers, and more that add to the festive Normal Rockwell-like ambiance.

This holiday season, the World Center of Racing will transform into a festive wonderland with Magic of Lights! From November 21 through January 3, guests can enjoy a dazzling drive-through experience featuring more than two million holiday lights and displays. Spanning over a mile and a half, the event is designed for you to take in the magic from the comfort of your vehicle.

The City of Altamonte Springs and Duke Energy celebrate the tradition of lighting up Cranes Roost Park with live music, entertainment, fireworks, train rides, along with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Watch as the park comes alive with spectacular holiday displays featuring 200,000 lights and a 60-foot tree decorated with thousands of ornaments and garland.

Dezerland Park Orlando transforms into a Christmas Wonderland holiday experience, where guests can ice skate, meet Santa and his elves, and enjoy hands-on holiday fun for all ages. Now Snowing, Central Florida’s original and premier “Snowing” event, offers one of the area’s only synthetic ice rinks, special community performances by some of the area’s top young talent, and special concert events throughout the season. Now Snowing in Celebration is a month-long Winter Wonderland Spectacular featuring strolling Charles Dickens style Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, train rides, ice skating, and nightly snowfall.

Holidays in Space at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is a seasonal event that transforms the complex into a holiday-themed space wonderland. Festive holiday décor takes over the visitor complex throughout the entire month of December. The favorite 50-foot tree with more than 61,000 pixels of light returns this year, the expanded Rocket Tree Trail, six-foot-tall astronaut nutcrackers, the NASA meatball-turned-holiday ornament and so much more.

Enjoy an expanded holiday light spectacular at Hillsburgh County Fairgrounds that will envelop you and your family in an enchanting environment blanketed in more than a million lights from entrance to exit. Young and young at heart will enjoy the nearly 2 mile drive-thru immersive experience of continuous light features followed by a festive walking visit to Santa’s Village, full of attractions, holiday goodies and visits with Santa!

Each year, the Morse Museum helps launch the holiday season in Winter Park when it lights up Tiffany windows in Central Park and presents the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble in concert. This December is the 47th annual celebration of Christmas in the Park. Christmas in the Park was started by Hugh and Jeannette McKean, the Morse Museum’s benefactors, in 1979 as a way to share a part of their rare Tiffany collection with the public in an informal setting. Today, the Morse and the City of Winter Park co-sponsor the event.

Consider donating a new, unwrapped toy during our Friday and Saturday Night Car Show and Cruise on December 5th & 6th. Santa and our Christmas helpers will be on location to accept your donations. Toys collected benefit the Osceola Council on Aging, so it stays local. Santa will be stopping by and will be available for photos with a $10 donation.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Central Florida residents and visitors to ring in the holiday season and help countdown to the lighting of the City of Orlando’s Christmas tree at Lake Eola Park’s Washington Plaza. The Orlando Half Marathon was established in 1977 by the City of Orlando Recreation Department titled the 'Tangerine Bowl Half Marathon'. The City of Orlando, Florida Citrus Sports Association, and Track Shack Events jointly produced the half marathon for many years.Track Shack Events took ownership of the event in 2012.
