November 2022 Closures & Refurbishments At Walt Disney World

Visiting Walt Disney World in November is a truly magical time to visit, it's the start of the holidays, and the resort has new transformed into a winter wonderland.

Take in the sights and sounds of the holidays with beautiful holiday decor, the twinkling lights on the majestic Christmas trees, lots of yummy seasonal eats and treats, and more Holiday merchandise than Santa can fit on its sleigh!

Yes November really is one of the best time to visit Walt Disney World, but there is quite a few attractions currently CLOSED in Walt Disney World, plus refurbishments are happening in the hotels too, so read on for this months closures and refurbishments.

Walt Disney World Railroad

As always dates and information are subject to change, but rest assured we will keep you updated.

Oh, but before we start this months list, lets talk about a much loved show that was closed for a long time, but is thankfully now reopened, yes of course it's Fantasmic!

Fantasmic! has now officially returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios after being shuttered since March 2020 due to COVID-19. We are so happy to not include the show in Novembers list of closed attractions.

Anyway onto the doom and gloom list...

Walt Disney World Closures & Refurbishments

November 2022

Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Railroad

Sadly November welcomes yet another month of closure for The Walt Disney World Railroad, the beloved attraction remains top of the list of closures at Walt Disney World again.

Unfortunately as the construction of the upcoming TRON: Lightcycle Run roller coaster in Tomorrowland drags on for what seems like forever, the Railroad still cannot operate its grans circular tour of the Magic Kingdom, and with Tron not expected to open until spring of 2023, it’s entirely possible that the Railroad will be closed until then.

Can you believe that the ride has been closed since 2018? WOW!

Anyway, last month Walt Disney World once again shared news that the Railroad was testing, news that they had previously announced months earlier with the exact same social media post!

At least the testing proves that Disney have not forgotten about the ride altogether, right?

Pete's Silly Sideshow

One of our favorite Walt Disney World character meeting spots, Pete’s Silly Sideshow remains closed in November.

Walt Disney World has announced Pete's will be thankfully opening soon, but as of yet no official world on the exact date, or even a month, or a year!

We anxiously wait until we can meet our favorite circus performers once more, where else in WDW can you meet Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy, all in one place!

Ariel’s Grotto

Another favourite character meet-and-greet that’s still not returned at Magic Kingdom since the COVID restrictions forced Walt Disney World to close, is Ariel’s Grotto.

Sadly Walt Disney World has not announced when Ariel will be back to meet guests in her Grotto

Enchanted Tales With Belle

Tales as old as time are still not being told in the Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction.

We really do hope to see the re-telling of Beauty and the Beast with our favourite princess, Belle soon.

Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.

The Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. gift shop next to Space Mountain remains closed in November with no official word on a re-opening.

EPCOT

The American Adventure

The grandest attraction in all of EPCOT, the American Adventure is sadly still closed in November.

The attraction closed for annual maintenance back in September, and will not reopen this month at all, with an expected reopening date of Saturday December 17, 2022.

Canada Far And Wide In Circlevision 360

Canada's Circlevision 360 attraction remains closed in November as the location which houses the movie is currently being used for the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival as the Appleseed Orchard Booth bar.

We expect to see the attraction re-open soon after the festival ends on November 19th.

VOYAGE OF THE LITTLE MERMAID

Will Voyage Of The Little Mermaid ever return to Hollywood Studios?

For yet another month, this live show remains on the list of closures at the theme park, and to be honest if it does return, it will need a major revamp, but we now doubt that the show will make a return ever.

Walt Disney World Hotels

Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The wonderful Narcoossee’s seafood restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resorts currently closed, and if your looking to eat here you will have a long wait as Narcoossee's is not scheduled to reopen until sometime next year.

Pools at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Two pools will be closed in October at Saratoga Springs Resort. The Congress Park Pool and the Treehouse Villa Pool, will both be closed from October 3rd through mid-December 2022.

As an alternative you can use the other pools at the resort, the High Rock Spring Pool, the Grandstand Pool, and the Paddock Pool.

Walt Disney World are providing shuttle transportation provided between the Treehouse Villas and the High Rock Springs Pool from 10am until 5pm each day.

Disney World Water Parks

Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishment back in January for regular maintenance and a makeover of the kids area, and we have ben patiently waiting ever since to see when Disney would reopen the popular water park.

The park was rumoured to be reopening in October, but Hurricane Ian put paid to these plans, but finally we got an official late last month announcing that the water park would be reopening in Sunday, November 13., and the park will indeed see new additions to the kids area.

New Frozen features will be part of the kid-sized thrills of Tike’s Peak with statuettes of Olaf and his Snowgie pals in the warm wading pool, as well as Anna and Elsa’s igloo castle.

Typhoon Lagoon

Just as Blizzard Beach reopens on November 13, Walt Disney World's other water park, Typhoon Lagoon will close.

The confirmed closing date for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is Saturday, November 12 before closing for its annual refurbishment from November 13.

We don't have a reopening date for when we will see Disney's Typhoon Lagoon reopening, but we have our fingers crossed that Walt Disney World will have BOTH water parks open at the same time again sometime in 2023.

And that's all the closures throughout Walt Disney World for November, as always stay tuned to Gotta Go Orlando for all the latest news and info from Orlando's Theme Parks and Attractions.
