Join in the Buddha's Birthday Celebration at Orlando's Guang Ming Temple

Guang Ming Temple is a branch of Fo Guang Shan. The temple serves as a center for multicultural education, social functions and festival activities. 

On Sunday, May 19 from 10 am to 3 pm, Orlando's Guang Ming Temple will host Buddha’s Birthday Celebration.

Everyone in the community is invited to the free celebrations, where you are welcome to explore the temple, experience the culture and the enjoy the enticing foods!!

Highlights of the Buddha’s Birthday Celebration is a Celebration Ceremony with authentic Asian attire and monastic chanting, plus the opportunity to Interact with the Bathing Buddha Display and dedicate your year to the three acts of goodness.

Plus. enjoy the Food and Arts Fair featuring enticing authentic foods, together with arts and crafts.

There will also be entertainment with unique performances, including the thunderous beats of the traditional Japanese drums known as 'Taiko,'

Bathing the Buddha Ceremony 浴佛典禮  10 am - 11:30 am, Main Shrine

Experience the traditional ceremonies that date back hundreds of years and are practiced all around the world.

Buddhist Way of Life 佛教的生活方式  11:30 am - 3: pm, 2nd Floor

Embark on a journey of discovery into the Buddhist path. Explore meditation practices, delve into the inspiring life of the Buddha, and uncover techniques for reducing suffering.

With a wealth of knowledge awaiting, plus an engaging Buddhist game suitable for the whole family, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Bathing the Buddha 浴佛  11:30 am - 3 pm, Main Shrine

Join the act of bathing the Baby Buddha.  It is practiced to help us cleanse ourselves and purify our minds. It is a catalyst which helps us to enhance our morality, cultivate our compassion, and increase our respect of others. 

Environmental Immersion 體驗環境  11:30 am - 3 pm, Courtyard

Connect with nature through an immersive, multi-dimensional experience. Encounter our delicate butterfly guests up close, then put your environmental expertise to the test with our exciting spinning wheel challenge. 

Stage Performances 舞台表演  11:30 am - 3 pm, Courtyard, Main Stage

Prepare to be captivated by an extraordinary lineup of performances crafted to delight and inspire. From mesmerizing dances and stunning costumes to the thunderous beats of the traditional Japanese drums known as 'Taiko,' your visit promises to be a memorable experience.

Fine Arts 美術展覽 11:30 am - 3 pm, Courtyard

Try your hand at spinning art for a dazzling and unique display of color. While you are there, check out some work from select local artists.

Savor the diverse flavors at the culinary booths, each offering an enticing selection of traditional Asian vegetarian entrees and delectable desserts. Treat your taste buds to a delightful culinary journey
