The Amway Center now have a safe place for families with sensory processing needs during an event at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando, to take a break.
The Amway Center in Downtown Orlando is the first NBA arena in Florida certified by KultureCity as Sensory Inclusive, and now the arena have added a brand new sensory room to further enhance their facilities for people with special needs.
This new, dedicated space gives families a safe and calming place to take a break, whenever needed, during events.
The Amway Center commented on the new sensory room on its social media channels saying "Because inclusivity is important to us, we partnered with KultureCity to create a sensory room for guests with special needs. This new, dedicated space gives families a safe and calming place to take a break, whenever needed, during our events."
In addition to the new sensory room, Amway Center offers the following for patrons with sensory processing needs during events:
Sensory bags, weighted lap pads and photo-sensitivity glasses, which can be checked-out at guest services for no cost.
Bags include a special badge for guest recognition, fidget tools, noise-canceling headphones and other resources.
