The Walt Disney Companies returning here, Bob Iger has returning to the Walt Disney Studios Lot this morning, Monday, November 28 ahead of today's scheduled employee town hall meeting.
This is the first time that Iger has been back at the lot since resuming his crown as the CEO of the Disney kingdom.
Iger tweeted his gratitude and excitement to be back on the lot earlier this morning.
In the employee town hall, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that he plans to move forward with the announced hiring freeze announced by former CEO Bob Chapek.
Iger said that he’s still looking into the specifics of the plan, but said that the hiring freeze seemed like a necessary step due to the challenges facing Disney.
Chapek said, “Hiring for the small subset of the most critical, business-driving positions will continue, but all other roles are on hold. Your segment leaders and HR teams have more specific details on how this will apply to your teams.”
