Returning favorites include the haunted house "Deleri1um666," and the scare zones "Blood Light District," "Toxic Turmoil," "Terrors of the Deep" and "Carnevil Pier." World class championship MMA fights are BACK in Tampa and BIGGER than ever with CFFC 133 on Friday July 26, 2024 at the Florida State Fairgrounds! Los Angeles quartet The Marías are on the road in support of their second, full length album, Submarine. Universal Orlando Resort has announced its second new scare zone in a day, with the Demon Queens coming to HHN 33 at Universal Studios Florida! Universal Orlando Resort has been drip-feeding scare zones recently, but now appear to be ramping up announcements as today, Wednesday, July 23, the resort has now revealed yet another new scare sone coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida. This is two scare zone announcements in one day! Earlier this morning, Universal announced the new scare zone is Duality of Fear, and now the resort has revealed that Demon Queens is joining the scare zone line-up too, and will be connected story-wise to Duality of Fear . Here is the description for the Demon Queens scare zone... "G et caught in an otherworldly hellscape ripped from the darkest corners of your mind. Four merciless queens loyal to SURR3AL rule, surrounded by hordes of fanatical followers." Now here is the description of Duality of Fear... "As soon as you enter Halloween Horror Nights you must choose a path: the visceral horror of SINIST3R or the unearthly terror of SURR3AL." Could we see a SURR3AL scare zone? Halloween Horror Nights is set to begin Friday, August 30 at Universal Orlando Resort , with the event running running through November 3, 2024. Extensive flooding at Fringe Artspace on W Church Street resulted in Orlando Fringe cancelling its first ever Orlando Out Fest. Back in June, Orlando Fringe revealed the sad news that their performing arts space, Fringe ArtSpace located on W Church Street has been affected by severe flooding, resulted in extensive water damage to the space. The flooding forced Orlando Fringe to cancel  the inaugural Orlando Out Fest, a curated festival celebrating exclusively LGBTQIA stories, artists, and history that was set to take place June 27-30 . Walt Disney World guests can now plan in advance with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Goodbye Geni+. Today, Wednesday, July 24, Walt Disney World has made changes to the Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry, including new ways to plan ahead. Walt Disney World has introduced new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. The Disney Genie+ service is Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.  Importantly, you can now  make Lightning Lane plans before you’re at Walt Disney World, for added confidence.  You can also choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing, so you know what you’re getting. Plus you can book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.  Here’s how Lightning Lane passes now work:  Lightning Lane Multi Pass      When you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you may make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of your visit. You’ll also be able to choose available times as you make your selections.   On the day of your visit, once you use a selection, check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make an additional selection.   Lightning Lane Single Pass      Lightning Lane Single Pass will work much like it does today, where you can secure a time to ride one of our most highly demanded attractions, but you’ll now be able to make your purchase and plan in advance.        How to Plan Ahead  Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance.  These advance purchase windows will let guests secure some of their must-do rides and experiences after they’ve had some time to decide what dining reservations they want to book and any other plans they may need to consider.   Guests may purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. Universal Orlando Resort has announced yet another new scare zone coming to HHN 33 at Universal Studios Florida. Universal Orlando Resort has been drip-feeding scare zones recently, and today, Wednesday, July 23, the resort has revealed yet another new scare sone coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida. The new scare zone is Duality of Fear... As soon as you enter the gates of Halloween Horror Nights, you must choose a path: follow SINIST3R, the manifestation of visceral horror. Or follow SURR3AL, the incarnation of unearthly terror. Halloween Horror Nights is set to begin Friday, August 30 at Universal Orlando Resort , with the event running running through November 3, 2024. All event tickets for Halloween Horror Nights   at   Universal Orlando Resort  are now available for purchase. At Universal Orlando Resort, the popular Frequent Fear and Rush of Fear Passes are now on sale, allowing guests to enjoy more horror with access to the event on multiple nights. Fans can also get an early start by adding the Scream Early ticket to their Halloween Horror Nights ticket, which gives them access to Universal Studios Florida between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to face the thrills of the theme park before braving the chills of Halloween Horror Nights. The post-grunge era band will light up Daytona International Speedway on August 24. Daytona International Speedway announced today that Lit has been named the pre-race concert performer for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on August 24. Lit remains one of the most active bands during the post-grunge era and will look to bring the intense energy to the speedway during their performance. “Bringing in an iconic rock band like Lit to perform our pre-race concert will be awesome for all our fans to enjoy before the Coke Zero Sugar 400,” said Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher. “I know a few of our staff have sung ‘My Own Worst Enemy’ at karaoke a few times before. You better believe I’ll be by the stage with the crowd as we look to build the energy before the NASCAR Playoffs.” The band includes brothers Ajay Popoff (lead vocals) and Jeremy Popoff (lead guitar), Kevin Baldes (bass), and Taylor Carroll (drums). The popular massive hit single “My Own Worst Enemy” topped the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart for 11 weeks and received the Billboard Music Award for Modern Rock Song of the Year in 1999. Lit has released seven studio albums, with their most successful being the 1999 album A Place in the Sun, which featured “My Own Worst Enemy.” Songs like “Zip-Lock” and “Miserable” also had great success, which lead to the album being certified platinum. The rock band brought a mix of punk energy and power pop to the music world in the 90’s and hasn’t slowed down since. In April 2022, Lit released their seventh full-length album and debut for Round Hill Records, Tastes Like Gold. Lit goes back to their punk rock roots with this album and decided to make what the fans wanted. Lit toured with Bowling for Soup earlier this year and has plenty of upcoming tour dates still.
