Opera Orlando Studio Artists are presents a touring production of Cinderella, riffing on Massenet’s Cendrillon. The City of Oviedo, in partnership with Opera Orlando, invites you to an unforgettable, family-friendly presentation of Cinderella. This magical event, sponsored by the Oviedo Public Arts Board, is free to the public and sure to delight audiences of all ages. Opera in the Park will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11 am at the Oviedo Amphitheatre and Cultural Center, located at 357 Center Lake Lane. This 45-minute adaptation is perfectly suited for opera lovers of all ages, and audiences will encounter all of their favorite characters: Cinderella, the Evil Stepmother, a benevolent Fairy Godfater, and, of course, Prince Charming. When Cinderella is forbidden to attend the dance by her horrid stepmother, a Fairy Godfather calls upon magic to conjure up a sparkling dress, a sweet ride, and of course, the finishing touch — an enchanted slipper. But once Cinderella arrives, is it really going to be everything she has hoped it will be? Look forward to a performance filled with enchanting costumes, captivating music, and the timeless charm of this classic fairy tale. GeorgeFest, in the heart of Downtown Eustis, will feature a parade carnival, live music, food, vendors, fireworks and much more! Happy Birthday George! The City of Eustis celebrates George Washington’s Birthday during a week-long, family-friendly event, with the 123rd Annual Georgefest! taking place February 15-22, 2025. Georgefest is the longest running celebration of George Washington’s Birthday in the State of Florida, and is now the longest, continuously running celebration of its kind in the entire United States.  Featuring headline entertainment from The Robert Randolph Band, Love and Theft, Point of Grace, and, Jo Dee Messina, the popular celebration attracts visitors from throughout Florida, and beyond. In addition to the live music, visitors can look forward to a parade, carnival rides and games, a bass tournament, a dog jog, parade, contests, vendors, and more. The Georgefest Carnival will be kick off this year's event on Saturday, Feb. 15 - Saturday, Feb 22. Wristband promotions are running all week. For information on the carnival, wristbands and times, please reach out to the Lake Eustis Area Chamber of Commerce.  Platinum-selling,  Grammy-nominated Point of Grace will perform on the historic bandshell stage for the Kick-Off Concert in the Park, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 7:30 pm. The 6th Annual Georgefest Bass Fishing Tournament will then take place on Sunday, February 16 on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Love and Theft, a country music duo, known for their their hit singles, including "Runaway" and "Angel Eyes," will perform on Eustis Street, Thursday, February 20 at 7:00 pm. The following night, Jo Dee Messina a household name with nine No. 1 hits and sixteen Top 40 songs, will be performing Friday, February 21 at 8pm, on the bandshells stage in Ferran Park. The Georgefest Grand Parade will be held Saturday, February 22 at 10 am. Heading North on Bay Street beginning at Badger Avenue we do expect heavy traffic and expect delays in the Downtown area, so arrive early and enjoy the pre-parade strolling entertainment. Robert Randolph & the Family Band will then perform Saturday, February 22 at 7:30 pm.. on the bandshell stage in Ferran Park. Georgefest fireworks are SATURDAY, February 25, at 9 pm. Taking that into consideration, they started calling the event, "George Washington's Birthday Celebration." Alton Brown will be reflecting on his decades in food when he takes to the stage in Orlando with his Last Bite show. Join the famed foodist, Alton Brown when he takes to the stage at the Walt Disney Theater on February 15, 2025. On what is being billed as his final nationwide theater tour, Alton will be reflecting on his decades in food media, presenting several of his favorite cooking mega-hacks and singing some of his funny food songs in this culinary variety show. The family-friendly, two-and-a-half-hour show will offer new material never seen before. “Last Bite will be my farewell tour and my last culinary variety show, as it’s time for me to make my full-time return to male modeling,” Brown commented.
