Classes are back at Smokemade Meats + Eats with an intensive Brisket and Ribs class on Saturday, March 9 and Intro to BBQ class on Sunday, March 10!

Smokemade Meats + Eats located near Downtown Orlando at 1400 S Crystal Lake Dr, Orlando in the Curry Ford West District, is once again hosting BBQ classes for Central Florida foodies looking to improve their BBQ skills.


You can choose between an intensive Brisket and Ribs class on Saturday, March 9, and an Intro to BBQ class on Sunday, March 10.


Brisket and Ribs Class: March 9

Explore the methods of preparing Central Texas-style BBQ! In this hands-on class, Smokemade Meats + Eats will be instructing on and sharing their methods of smoking Brisket and Pork Spareribs. They will cover fire management, trimming, seasoning, smoking, slicing, and finishing brisket and spare ribs. The course comes with a light breakfast of pastries and coffee, as well as a full BBQ Lunch with beer, soda, and water. You will leave with food that is prepared in the class.


Class comes with Smokemade Hat and T-Shirt. $450.


Intro to BBQ: March 10

Join Smokemade Meats + Eats for a day exploring the basics of BBQ! In this introductory class, Smokemade Meats + Eats will be instructing on and sharing the necessary basics of wood fired bbq. They will cover fire management, trimming, seasoning, smoking. The course comes with a light breakfast of pastries and coffee, as well as leaving with food prepared in the class.


Class comes with Smokemade Hat and T-Shirt. $150

Smokemade Meats + Eats was born from owner and pitmaster, Tyler Brunache’s passion for low and slow Central Texas-style BBQ. He started cooking for friends while earning his entrepreneurship degree at Florida State University. After a stage and one-on-one cooks with well-traveled pitmaster Dylan Taylor, the hobby became a mission.


Smokemade Meats earned a loyal fanbase doing weekly barbecue pop ups and market appearances at local craft breweries throughout Washington, DC in 2019. The pandemic prompted Tyler to return back home to Orlando, FL to be closer to family and friends.


Tyler began pop ups around the Orlando area in 2021 with regular appearances at Tactical Brewing, Tasty Tuesday in the Milk District, GB’s Bottle Shop, Whippoorwill Beer House & Package Store, and the popular Orlando Parking Lot Party pop up festivals.


As word spread, it inspired us Tyler to start looking for a brick and mortar space, opening Smokemade Meats + Eats in Curry Ford West.
