  • New $3 Billion Terminal C At Orlando International Airport Is Now Open

    Orlando International Airport has officially opened its brand new Terminal C, and guests are going to be impressed. Terminal C is gorgeous and it screams "Welcome To Florida!" Soaring ceilings with massive skylights allow bright sunlight to stream into the bright and airy terminal. beautiful indoor palm trees soar, and towering LED screens showing underwater springs and skies full of blue skies and fluffy clouds lets you know that you are in the Sunshine State. The new $3 Billion Terminal C will make the airport experience as smooth as possible, and features video walls and digital displays to help passengers navigate the airport. The 200,000-square-foot terminal will be home to 11 airlines including Jet Blue, British Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa and Caribbean Airlines and features 15 gates that can accommodate up to 20 planes for both domestic and international flights and all will use facial recognition technology to help with easier and more secure boarding. The terminal has its own automated Transportation Security Administration checkpoint, meaning guests shouldn't have to wait too long in line for TSA checks, with officials saying that security will be quicker.   • Dezerland Action Park Kicking Off Fall With A Family Friendly Oktoberfest Celebration

    Dezerland Action Park Orlando, the indoor amusement park off International Drive, will celebrate Oktoberfest this fall. During regular park hours on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays from Sept. 30 to Oct. 30, Dezerland will be serving up traditional Oktobrfest fare. Guests can choose from mouthwatering options such as a one-pound Bavarian pretzel, German-style roasted chicken, or bratwurst – a quarter-pound German sausage cooked in beer and onions served with German potato salad or mac & cheese. Samuel Adams will also be available for $7 for a 16-ounce pour. To continue the festive spirit, Dezerland’s Orlando Auto Museum will display vehicles from one of the world’s largest Volkswagen collections. Guests can explore the extensive display of Volkswagens along with more than 2,000 movie, celebrity, military and historical vehicles.   • Mexican Restaurant Rosa Mexicano Coming To Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Early 2023

    Fine dining restaurant Rosa Mexicano has announced plans to open its first Orlando-area location in the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in early 2023. The restaurant, helmed by Manuel Trevino, Vice President of Culinary, will feature dramatic design elements familiar to fans of the brand, to transport guests on a unique culinary journey. The 5,500-square-foot restaurant will offer various seating areas with capacity of about 300 guests, including a 30-person bar and a beautiful private dining room for 50. The menu will showcase a contemporary interpretation of authentic Mexican cuisine, including beloved classics and innovative, sophisticated dishes that pay tribute to Mexico's richly varied culinary regions.     The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is offering visitors a new menu of mouth-watering drinks, dips, desserts and soups as “Taste of Space” food festival returns. The “Taste of Space: Fall Bites” festival takes place from Sept. 30 to Nov. 6 at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. New this year is Space Bowl Bistro at Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, where guests can indulge in the fall flavors of a cranberry smoothie. At the Orbit Cafe guest can indulge in a delicious, cheesy potato casserole with an artisan bratwurst, a black forest cupcake and a citrus gelatin dessert with a lemon foam topping, served in a mini beer tankard. Looking to enjoy a hearty bowl of beer cheese soup topped with crunchy bacon and served with a fresh pretzel? Head over to the Moon Rock Cafe and finish that hearty meal with a piece of pumpkin cheesecake.     Until the end of September kids can visit Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. A FREE, one-day admission to kids ages 3 – 11 will be offered with a new, “Future Voyagers” program. Available with the purchase of at least one adult admission, the offer is valid for up to three complimentary children’s admissions per one adult purchase. A scale model of the NASA Space Launch System Rocket that will launch the Artemis 1 mission is also on display in Gateway, as is the flight-flown Orion EFT-1 capsule. The Orion spacecraft will play a key role in NASA’s Artemis missions.
