  • Surf’s Up! Disney Springs Break Presented by Havaianas Is Happening April 21 -24

    Surf's up Orlando! Havaianas are having a beach party at Disney Springs from April 21 to 24, and everyone is invited! The iconic sandal brand Havaianas is famous for their bright colors and beach-ready designs. And now they are bringing all things beachy right here to Disney Springs. Waterview Park has been transformed into an immersive spring break beach festival and it’s gonna be an amazing time. Disney Springs Break presented by Havaianas will be turning up the heat from April 21-24 and you’re all invited to join the beachside bash. At Waterview Park, between The BOATHOUSE and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, you’ll find the perfect place to catch some sun, play in the sand, rock out to great entertainment and, of course, take plenty of Instagram-worthy photos. Each day from 2 p.m.-11 p.m., DJs and live entertainment will be taking the stage to play some tubular tunes. While you groove to the beat, check out all the activities Havaianas has set up on the beach. Watch sand artisans create works of art before your very eyes, and then try your own hand at sand sculpting in the interactive sandbox. Keep the crafty vibe going and help paint some vibrant surfboards! There are also plenty of fun photo ops – stop by the surf shack, step into the biggest Havaianas flip flop ever and hang ten at a surf-inspired backdrop. Havaianas will also have their newest Spring collection available for purchase, styles perfect for spring break and beyond!   • Walt Disney World No Longer Requiring Guests To Mask Up

    Walt Disney World have announced that the entire resort has dropped its requirement for all guests to wear masks when on its transportation systems, effectively making Walt Disney World mask-free for the first time since summer 2020. The new Walt Disney World mask-free policy comes into effect immediately. Disney continues to recommend guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation. Masks have been a requirement at Walt Disney World in some capacity since the parks reopened from the COVID-19 shutdown in mid-July 2020. Since then the parks have went through various stages of masks requirements, including at all locations, indoors only, to most recently only required on enclosed transportation.

  • Cirque du Soleil Now Offering New Animated Evening At Disney Springs

    Starting this week, Guests who purchase tickets for Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life at Disney Springs can enhance their night out with a brand new offering. Animated Evening offers Guests the opportunity of adding a meal, before or after the show, with unique prix-fixe menus at 13 locations throughout Disney Springs. These dining locations will provide two price options: $45 or $65 per person (plus tax and gratuities). To book this new option, guess must first purchases tickets to the show, they will then receive an email with the option to book a restaurant reservation by calling 407-587-5981, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. All dining reservations must be scheduled 2.5 hours before or 2 hours after the Guests’ ticketed show time. W When Guests arrive at the restaurant, they must mention and ask for the prix-fixe menu to experience the meal.   • Portillo’s Opening Second Central Florida Location In Kissimmee

    As we first reported on March 24, Central Florida is getting a second Portillo’s location. The Chicago-style food chain have now officially announced the new location coming to Kissimmee, via an announcement on its website. Portillo’s said in the announcement the new eatery would be located on U.S. 192 across from the Margaritaville Resort. The exact address is 8011 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee. The location of the new restaurant is on the 192 in Kissimmee is next to Miller's Ale House, Tijuana Flats, Texas Roadhouse, and more. Across from the location is The Promenade at Sunset Walk which includes Rocks & Brews and Ford's Garage. The new restaurant will still be serving up its same signature items which include Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, burgers and its famous chocolate cake.   • The Color Run Races Into Osceola Heritage Park This Weekend, April 24!

    Get your glow on this weekend for the Happiest 5K on The Planet! The Color Run, a five-kilometer, untimed event is taking place at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee on April 23rd from 8 am to 12 noon, and you can still register to take part! The Color Run is a five-kilometer, untimed event. At each kilometer mark, Color Runners are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color.   • Get Ready To Boogie Orlando As The Jacksons Are Coming To SeaWorld

    Get ready to blame it on the boogie as SeaWorld Orlando have just announced that The Jacksons have been added to this year's line up at The Seven Seas Food Festival at the theme park. The concert takes place this Sunday, 24 April at 7:00 p.m. in the Bayside Stadium. Entry is free with a vlid theme park ticket, with VIP reserved seating available for an extra charge.   • Autism Awareness Car & Truck Show Coming to Sunset Walk April 23

    This Saturday, April 23, The Autism Awareness Car And Truck Show Benefiting the Autism Society of Greater Orlando is taking place at Sunset Walk, in Kissimmee. Promenade at Sunset Walk has a full day of fun planned, including a sensory-friendly movie. Co-presented by Margaritaville Residences Orlando and Embassy Suites By Hilton Orlando Sunset Walk, the Promenade will showcase the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” . The sensory-friendly Autism Awareness Car & Truck Show will feature live music along with a display of custom cars, trucks, bikes, and more. VIP parking is $30, it’s $20 for general parking, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Autism Society of Greater Orlando. Admission to the car show itself is free for everyone. Sunset Walk is a beautiful outdoor entertainment district that's home to casual eateries, fine dining, entertainment options, regular events, car show, and retail shops, all within the Margaritaville Resort, that is also home to Island H20 Water Park and more.   • New Parking Lots To Be Constructed At EPCOT

    A permit has been filed with the state of Florida by Walt Disney Imagineering who have plans on creating new parking lots at EPCOT, within Walt Disney World. According to BlogMickey, the new permit, which lists the current Imagine Parking lot site as the address, calls for the Hubbard Construction Company to provide new parking lots at EPCOT. The permit, as is usual with these documents, offers little details beyond a broad description of the work, and an expiration date, which in this instance is August 31, 2023 This date gives the planned end date of a project.and It’s likely that Disney wants to have this work completed by the end of fiscal 2023, which ends around October 1st. It’s also possible that this work needs to be completed by the time the World Celebration construction wraps up, which Disney has previously said will be in 2023.

  • Face Masks Are Now Optional At MCO, Orlando International Airport

    Following on from a Florida district judge voiding the federal mask mandate on public transportation and in transportation hubs, the Transportation Security Administration have announced that they will no longer enforce the mask mandate on planes. Following the lead of the TSA, Orlando International Airport announced this morning that face masks will now be optional at the airport and its facilities.

  • Anthrax & Black Label Society Rocking Into The House Of Blues Orlando

    The godfathers of thrash, Anthrax are teaming up with rockers Black Label Society for a North American co-headlining tour that will have Orlando rocking into the night this August The tour is a 40th anniversary celebration for metalheads Anthrax, and the band's guitarist Scott Ian likened the tour lineup to "the night of 1000 crushing riffs". In what will be the only Florida stop on the tour, Anthrax and Black Label Society play the House of Blues at Disney Springs on Friday Aug. 12. Tickets go on sale April 22 via Live Nation.
