New trail at ZooTampa has been made possible by the Muma Children’s Hospital at TGH and offers exercise while enjoying nature. ZooTampa at Lowry Park has a new way for families to enjoy wildlife and get fit while visiting the Zoo. The Zoo and the Muma Children’s Hospital at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) have teamed up to provide guests of all ages with a walking trail highlighting the best views within the Zoo during their fitness journey. The Zoo's walking trail is a 1-mile loop situated among nature that connects guests with animal habitats and includes signs every one-eighth mile that help guests follow their progress and stay on track. ZooTampa has always been a special place for families across the Tampa Bay area, and by creating new opportunities to get outdoors, the Zoo and TGH are encouraging kids and families to be more active. The two organizations hope the new trail will draw kids into the Zoo by creating new family-friendly wellness opportunities that will last a lifetime. The walking trail is not the first collaboration between Tampa General Hospital and ZooTampa. As the official and exclusive medical partner of the Zoo, the Muma Children's Hospital at TGH hosted a Kids Fun Run at the Zoo last summer and is the presenting sponsor of the Family Care Center in the new Australia section of the Zoo, which opens in March. Walt Disney World Resort welcomes the season with stunning topiaries, inspired dining, diverse entertainment and interactive displays Feb. 28 - May 27 . With spring breezes already gently blowing across Walt Disney World, it is time to welcome back the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. For 90 breathtaking days, guests are treated to one of the resort’s most beautiful events, which offers captivating displays of blooms, stunning topiaries that highlight the beauty of nature, engaging musical acts that inspire audiences to sing along and interactive elements that put guests in the center of it all. New! Groot, Asha and Miguel Topiaries Debut Once again, Disney horticulture cast members have created a spectacular array of topiaries featuring myriad Disney characters, seasonal displays and whimsical items. Debuting this year, Groot takes root in EPCOT! The “flora colossus” from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy will appear near the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction in World Discovery. In the spirit of season one of the Disney+ “I Am Groot” series, Groot is trying his hand at creating his own topiary. Observant guests may spy an homage to the horticulture team on the mix tape that Groot is hoisting in the air. Also new this year, guests can see new topiaries from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Wish,” including Asha, Valentino and Star, at the park’s main entrance. And in Mexico, Miguel and Dante from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” take center stage. As part of the topiary magic, guests will see everyone’s favorite dragon, Figment, in the newly opened World Celebration Gardens, and a Princess Tiana topiary gracing The American Adventure pavilion. Gardens to Relish and Enjoy More than 25 garden destinations are found throughout the park, inviting guests to pause as they learn more about the fascinating plant world. Inspiring displays include Floating Gardens in World Nature, featuring more than 170 petite plots drifting on the serene waters that border the bridge to World Showcase. To participate, guests select five dishes from specified menu items – all listed in the Festival Passport. Upon purchase, guests receive a stamp in their passport. When they collect five stamps, they can bring their passport back to Pineapple Promenade for a special treat. Because the Garden Graze can be completed at guests’ leisure over multiple visits, they can redeem their completed passport anytime during the festival. Interactive Elements Beckon Discovery and Play The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is the perfect place for interactive fun, especially for families with little ones. At this year’s festival, the whole family can join in the fun with two seasonal scavenger hunts. Throughout the festival, follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail where he is “buzzing” to collect nectar from all the beautiful gardens with Spike’s Pollination Exploration. And for a limited time, guests can also hop around World Showcase for the Egg-stravaganza Hunt! Twelve beautiful, bunny-inspired eggs will be placed throughout the park for festival goers to find. Maps for both scavenger hunts will be available for purchase while supplies last. Once their journey is complete – whether or not they find all the items – guests can redeem their map at Disney Traders, Creations Shop or World Traveler at International Gateway for a special surprise.* Also back this year, Butterfly Landing presented by AdventHealth offers guests the chance to get up close and personal with some of nature’s most beautiful pollinators – butterflies. The walkthrough butterfly house highlights the life cycle of butterflies and contains colorful pollinator gardens that may serve as inspiration for budding gardeners looking to cultivate their own pollinator plots. At Blossoms of Fragrance presented by Scentsy, guests can follow their noses to create lasting memories with the help of unforgettable fragrances. New this year, guests can bring home some of their favorite fragrances from Blossoms of Fragrance, which will be available at the merchandise kiosk located nearby. Looking for a place to get a little energy out? At Camp Get Out ‘N’ Play Garden Presented by OFF!, families can explore a camp-themed garden where kids can jump, play, climb and explore this area created just for them. Groove to the Sounds of Garden Rocks Dance and sing along to favorite songs as the popular Garden Rocks concert series takes to the American Gardens Theatre stage daily during the festival. Featuring both local and globally recognized acts, there is something for everyone. This year, new groups join the lineup, including Modern English, Crowder, Fonseca, Lit, and Monsieur Periné. Also, for the first time, Raul Acosta & Oro Solido will share the stage with Luisito, then return the next day with Magic Juan. • Florida's first "Market by Macy’s" boutique store format to debut in Central Florida in Winter Garden

Winter Garden Village in Winter Garden is set to be the home of Florida's first location for Macy's new smaller format store - Market by Macy’s. Macy's has announced that it's opening its first Florida Market by Macy's in Winter Garden Village, Orlando. This groundbreaking move not only marks the regional debut of Macy's smaller format store but also signals a potential statewide expansion of the smaller stores throughout Florida. The new Market by Macy's will a 28,633-square-foot space at 3215 Daniels Road, that was previously home to Bed Bath & Beyond. Markey by Macy's is described by the company as boutique-sized stores, offering top brands, the latest trends and exciting pop-up events, with the stores designed to make shopping quick and easy. As the department-store shutters more of its giant mall anchor locations in dead malls, the retailer is opening more and more of its Market by Macy's stores, which are about one-fifth of the size of the retailer’s typical Macy’s stores. The new smaller stores are being opened in busy strip malls and shopping centers, especially in up and coming neighborhoods, offering a slimmed-down assortment of popular brands with displays that rotate frequently to stay fresh and on-trend, in the hope of attracting a younger and more diverse customer base. The festival unites local, national and international artists with the Central Florida community, creating a uniquely diverse arts experience. As the longest-running Fringe theatre festival in the United States, Orlando Fringe is 100% uncensored, 100% unjuried, 100% accessible, 100% inclusive, and guarantees that 100% of all ticket sales go directly back to the artists. “We're thrilled to announce the 33rd Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival!” says Interim Executive Director Scott Galbraith.  “These two weeks are truly packed with exciting, new, and innovative shows that will entertain and uplift audiences, perhaps make them ponder and re-think.  After all, Fringe is never the same twice!  There are always new artists to discover, and we're always eager to explore new venues and see Orlando through the eyes of both local and visiting artists.” Anchored at the main festival campus in Loch Haven Park, the festival features venues at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, Orlando Family Stage and the Orlando Museum of Art, plus Fringe ArtSpace in Downtown Orlando on historic Church Street. BYOV’s (“Bring Your Own Venues”) this year include returning venues Renaissance Theatre Company and The Starlite Room @ Savoy and new venues CityArts and Stardust Lounge, along with various site-specific venues chosen by artists. The Outdoor Stage themed nights are back on a revamped lawn with more entertainment, food and beverage offerings. Digital and printed programs continue, as well as enhanced accessibility and two shuttle services between venues. “I can’t wait to welcome the most amazing bunch of audiences, artists, staff and volunteers, share all of the surprises we have up our sleeves and see what kind of magic unfolds this year!” says Festival Producer Tempestt Halstead.  “Whether folks are joining us for the first time (or the hundredth), they’re in for a treat - a world of new venues, fresh talent and vibrant energy.  From intimate spaces to grand stages, each venue offers a unique adventure.  This year, we embrace the diverse array of artists, from seasoned veterans to rising stars, all ready to ignite the imagination.  Fringe is all about embracing the new, the different and the weird!  With this year looking semi-new with new venues and festival components, we wanted a theme to play into that.  We’ve been ‘comfy, cozy’ for the last couple of years because that is what the community needed with the pandemic shifting a lot, and we wanted to be more edgy this year.  With endless possibilities, we embrace the change and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.  Let's do this thing and Get Fringed!” 2024 Orlando International Fringe Festival key dates: April 15 – Local Artist Teaser Show at the Orange Venue at Orlando Shakes April 15 - Tickets go on sale for Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival May 14 – Ribbon cutting, official festival opening, and National/International Artist Teaser Show at the Peach Venue at Orlando Family Stage May 15-27 – Time to Fringe!
