Walt Disney World update app - removing 50th Decor from Castle & barges from World Showcase Lagoon

The 18 month celebrations for Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary are over, and as the clock struck midnight, Walt Disney World waved its magic wand and removed the anniversary from its official website and app.

The resorts digital map no longer show the 50th decor on Cinderella's Castle at Magic kingdom, and as the 50th Medallion on the front of the castle is removed for real beginning this weekend, on the map it is gone already together with the garlands that were added for the 50th.

Interestingly the pink and blue collar scene remains, confirming the news that we told you that the new castle color scheme introduced for the 50th will remain.

Below is a shot of the castle yesterday with the 50th decor still showing.

Another feature removed from the map is the barges for Harmonious the nighttime show at World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT.
