Imagine alongside Walt Disney in the new World Celebration neighborhood and “Walt the Dreamer” statue opening Dec. 5 at EPCOT!

Walt Disney World has revealed that the new World Celebration Neighbourhood and Dreamers Point featuring the new Walt the Dreamer statue will open at EPCOT on December 5, Walt Disney's birthday.

World Celebration will unite the front of the park, tying together the other two new EPCOT neighborhoods, World Discovery and World Nature.
The completion of the last of the park’s three neighborhoods will be the latest major milestone multi-year transformation of EPCOT.

While announcing this exciting news, its important to note that Disney did not share an opening date for CommuniCore Hall & Plaza, which are also part of the new EPCOT World Celebration neighborhood.

When CommuniCore Hall does open in World Celebration, it will be the center of festival programming throughout the park.
In renderings, you can see this will be home to a new character greeting location called Mickey & Friends. You’ll be able to meet Mickey Mouse and some of his best pals in this colorful space.

Also located in the World Celebration neighborhood, CommuniCore Hall will be the home of a dynamic exhibition space that will transform with each festival throughout the year, as you can see here in one possibility imagined for EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
Playing with light, shapes and reflections, the architecture of this building was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering to celebrate the legacy of EPCOT and the original CommuniCore buildings.
