Governor's puppet board want to monetize land around Walt Disney World - Housing, Tolls, Prisons?

We told you earlier today how The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors fired Reedy Creek's Planning and Zoning Board members so they could appoint themselves, and at the same time they also passed their “superior authority” resolution, which is them basically ignoring the powers that Reedy Creek gave to Disney before the new board elbowed their way into power.

Also at the meeting today, Martin Garcia, chair of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, said that in the future, they might consider acquiring more land under eminent domain, monetizing the district’s assets to pay off debt, banning COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates, and exploring new zoning for the construction of affordable housing for Disney workers on Disney World property.

This move appears to be trying to win back public after claiming they might build a prison next to Walt Disney World, and of course building affordable housing is much more palatable than building a prison, although it has to be pointed out that Disney themselves have already announced plans for affordable housing!!

The interesting take from the comments made by the Chair Martin Garcia is that they want to "monetize the district’s land assets", could this be a hint at the plans that DeSantis himself has already made public, that he could put toll roads around Walt Disney World?
