Guests can honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy with the return of The City of Ocoee's Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Celebration on Monday, January 16.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Citrus Elementary School, 87 North Clarke Road, and end at West Oaks Mall.
At the end of the parade, everyone is invited to attend a post-parade celebration that will take place in the West Oaks Mall food court from 11 a.m.
Emmy award-winning investigative reporter and WFTV-Channel 9 anchor, Daralene Jones will be the keynote speaker at the MLK Day Celebration.

Allie Braswell, Braswell Management, LLC, will serve as the master of ceremony at the MLK Celebration.
The celebration program will include presenting of the colors by the Ocoee High School JROTC, Ocoee resident Sherrí Gladney will sing the National Anthem and sixth-grader Hailey Smith, winner of last year’s City of Ocoee Black History Month Essay Contest, will recite her award-winning essay.
After the celebration, Parks and Recreation will shuttle participants back to their vehicles at Citrus Elementary.
